Oakland Art Murmur happens on the first Friday of each month, rain or shine. A large list of participating galleries holds receptions from approximately 6pm to 9pm. This is a great way to enjoy the Temescal neighborhood of Oakland and experience ART with your fellow Oaklanders!

“It definitely won’t be on the ballot this November but it’s good to know exactly what the man, widely credited for the launch modern hemp movement had in mind instead of Prop. 19 2010. The California Cannabis Hemp and Health Initiative is set to file again for 2012. They will begin the signature drive November 2011 through April 2012 and they will need to collect 700,000 signatures from registered California voters within the 150 days.”
“The decisions made, including the proposed 2.5% increase in business tax for dispensaries and the number of dispensing facilities increasing from three to four total, will be up for public vote in November..Other amendments include the addition of six new, non-dispensing facilities which could include but are not limited to; cultivation and manufacturing and would not include public visits. Whether we like it or not, things are changing for Berkeley and other cities around the State.”
