Whether we like it or not, things are changing for Berkeley and other cities around the State.”
The current use of joints or pipes for the inhaling of cannabinoids is recognized as delivering numerous irritants and possible carcinogens along with the desired active principles like THC..Any mitigation of irritants..would be inherently safer and in the case of the immuno-compromised, or people in respiratory distress the change could be life saving.
The city of Oakland may allow four large-scale cannabis farms and is considering raising the number of medical cannabis dispensary permits from four to six. “My gut instinct said this would be a great revenue and job generator for the city”, she said. “But after running the numbers, I went ‘Wow, that’s really a job generator'”
